To enhance security in defense areas, a smart metal detection-based alert system is proposed. This system uses a metal detector sensor integrated with a microcontroller to detect the presence of metallic objects such as guns, knives, or hidden explosives. When a metallic object is detected, the system triggers an alarm (buzzer) and optionally sends a GSM-based alert to security personnel, ensuring immediate response. The system can be installed at entry points like gates or checkpoints to automatically scan individuals or baggage. It is portable, easy to install, and can be powered using a battery or solar panel, making it suitable for remote or temporary military setups. This automation helps in preventing threats, improving vigilance, and ensuring national security in a fast and efficient manner.
The system consists of a metal detector sensor that continuously scans for the presence of any metal in its proximity. When a person or object carrying metal passes near the sensor, it detects the disturbance in the electromagnetic field and sends a signal to the microcontroller (Arduino/NodeMCU).
